The Great Pyramid of Peaches

Page history last edited by Nathan Wisdom 15 years, 1 month ago

Affan was bored one day and began stacking peaches. He decided to stack them in a triangular pyramid. There was one peach on the top layer, three peaches on the second layer, six on the third layer, and so on. Each layer except the top formed an equilateral triangle. How many peaches would it take to build a pyramid 50 layers high?

Hint: Look for a pattern
